Which Heating System Works Best for You?
Basically there are four basic types of heating system to consider when thinking of heating your pool which are gas, solar, electric elements and electric heat pumps. The most suitable heater is determined by factors such as cost, efficiency, needs, physical location of your house pool and house. However, varying weather patterns and state’s energy pricing also do influence the overall deal.
While today heat pump and gas furnaces are the most preferred options when it comes to heating around homes and business premises, here are the various types of heating systems available in the market:-
This form of heating is quite popular most especially because of the fact that it uses free energy from the sun. Working by direct heat transfer, the water from the pool is circulated through a collector often situated on the roof. However while solar limits the use of energy as much as possible, PCB components are sometimes utilized through a digital controller that sends water to the roof whenever there is enough sunshine.
Solar heating is most preferred in low income households where home owners are looking out for minimal operating costs for their heating needs.

These are purpose built and are meant to offer a low purchase option and easy installation procedure and cost. These work more or less like electric kettle in the sense that there is a direct heat transfer between the pool water and immersed element. Their small size aspect makes them ideal where space is of the essence where heat pump installation requirements cannot be met. However, these will work on a relatively higher cost as compared to gas during off peak hours.
Electric Heat Pump
This equipment has unique ability to trap heat from air temperature turning it into water heating at high efficiency. This if often preferred for those home owners requiring constant house heating or swimming especially during winter seasons. Working in reverse of an air conditioner, it takes air the outside atmosphere, removes the heat contained in it and transferring the heat to water from a pool or spa running though the unit.
While they are high energy efficient they have become one of the most affordable and low-cost heating systems worldwide.

Gas heaters have been known to have ability to maintain any desired temperatures of heat 24/7 hence most preferred by those people who need constant and limitless heating. Often for pools used for entertainment, gas heaters are able to surpass the desired heating temperatures and duration by far as compared to gas or solar heating. While you get the luxury of enjoying desired temperatures any time of the year, gas heating can get quite expensive to operate as compared to both heat pumps and solar heaters.
